Holiday Lights on the Lake returns to Lakemont Park in Altoona for it's 27th season and will be featuring traditional and new displays, along with treats from 150 sponsors, a press release states. According to a press release by the park, Holiday Lights on the Lake will be open from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. daily November 17th through January 7. The event will feature traditions such as the Avenue of Trees, Tunnel of Lights and cinnamon nuts by Nuts for You while also enjoying some new ceramic LED illuminated displays.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Snow failing across Pennsylvania is causing schools to close or delay opening in the western and central part of the state. The snow is sticking to roadways and slowing motorists because conditions are slippery. Parts of the state are under a winter weather advisory that will remain in effect until Wednesday morning. Forecasters say as much as 6 inches of snow are possible in the higher elevations.

BELLFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — The Bellfonte Area School District announced the temporary closure of Benner Elementary School due to poor air quality in the building. School officials posted on their Facebook page that the school will be closed on Monday. They did not say when students would be able to return to the building. Officials said they will keep the public updated on the situation while they continue cleaning and testing the air quality.

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce held its annual award dinner Wednesday evening. The chamber honored several members, in a number of categories, including Frank Duca Funeral Home, Mihalko’s Contracting and other businesses and leaders. Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch was the keynote speaker this year. Batch, who has a history in community engagement and volunteer work, says joining with the chamber gives him the opportunity to stay connected with businesses and organizations within the community.

Authorities in Westmoreland County say a man and woman have been charged in connection to the accidental shooting of a 4-year-old boy in Rostraver Township. Investigators say in July, police were called to a home for reports that the child had shot himself with a handgun. Police say the child was flown to UPMC Children's Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Authorities note that the child has since received "constant" medical care.

President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway and the Broncos’ search committee interviewed Munchak for the team’s head-coaching position before hiring Vic Fangio to fill the opening. Now, Munchak will join Fangio’s staff to guide the offensive line, a unit with which the 25-year NFL coaching veteran has plenty of experience.
