Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Somerset County say a man is behind bars after he reportedly assaulted and threatened a woman over the weekend, and then stole her car, all while the two were traveling along Route 219.
Police say on Saturday, officers were dispatched to Route 219 southbound, near the Jerome exit, for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Investigators say the victim told officers that she was driving her vehicle along the highway and that 42-year-old Justin Klink, who is known to her, was in the passenger seat.
PATTON TOWNSHIP - Patton Township police Chief John Petrick has submitted his resignation to take a job at Penn State University. Patton Township Manager Doug Erickson confirmed that Petrick has taken a job with the Penn State Department of Public Safety and his resignation will go into effect April 25.
Erickson said Senior Sgt. Sean Albright will handle the chief's duties on an interim basis. Erickson said that the township will use a recruiting firm to find a full-time replacement.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Stan Savran, who spent nearly five decades in sports broadcasting chronicling Pittsburgh’s rise to the “City of Champions,” has died. He was 76.
WTAE-TV, where Savran worked as a sports anchor in the 1980s, announced Savran’s death on Monday. No official cause of death was given but Savran, who was living in Upper St. Clair in the city’s southern suburbs, had been very public about his battle with lung cancer in recent years.
CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — David Lombardo of Clearfield was denied bail again Wednesday and learned his case will be heading towards a trial.
Lombardo is accused of strangling his mother to death in order to claim her life insurance policy and access her bank account.
According to the affidavit, police were dispatched on the morning of March 15 to a residence along East Locust Street, in Clearfield Borough, for a reported cardiac incident.

A man has been arrested after a five-day investigation into the death of a pregnant Amish woman in Crawford County earlier this week, state police said.
According to a press release, state police were notified of a deceased female at a home on Fish Flats Road in Sparta Township around 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon and the death was investigated as a homicide.
