Janakovic says the city will be accepting applications for the new city manager through the end of the month and says he is confident they will have the position filled before Imhoff’s departure.
CAMBRIA CO., Pa. (WJAC) — According to the Bureau of Prisons, 37 inmates and seven employees at Federal Correctional Institution Loretto have tested positive for COVID-19. According to officials, 17 of the inmates are recovered, along with one employee. They also said there are no deaths. The Bureau reports nearly 40,000 tests were completed, and over 10,900 of them were positive. CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — On Saturday, Bishop McCort's Bo Bassett secured his spot on the U20 World Wrestling Team that will compete in Spain later this year. Bassett is one of three local wrestlers will represent the United States in international competition. Bo Bassett will join fellow Bishop McCort wrestlers Keegan Bassett and Melvin Miller in competing internationally. McCort’s Jax Forrest also attempted to qualify but lost in the finals.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- A Johnstown plastic surgeon pleaded guilty Friday to two felony counts of Medicaid and insurance fraud. Dr. Daniel R. Nevarre was sentenced to six to 23 months of house arrest, followed by three years of probation. “When people commit Medicaid fraud, they’re stealing tax dollars from people who are in real need of health care services,” Attorney General Josh Shapiro said. Nevarre was the owner and operator of Plastic Surgical Associates of Johnstown until its sale in May 2017.
