Authorities say 20-year-old Matthew Birch faces charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors, according to court documents. Investigators say on Feb. 18, police were contacted about a Childline report for a female who was possibly sexually assaulted.

BROOKVILLE -- A licensed grower and processor of medical marijuana in Jefferson County is the first with state approval to begin operating. Gov. Tom Wolf Tuesday approved Chicago-based Cresco Yeltrah to begin growing and processing medical marijuana at its Brookville location. The facility is the first to be deemed fully operational in Pennsylvania's medical marijuana program. Permits were issued in June, when the 12 winners were selected from among 177 applicants.
PA (WJAC) — Both the PFBC (Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission) and the Pennsylvania Game Commission are warning fishermen and hunters about online licensing scams that have recently been reported. According to a release, customers reported that they had purchased licenses through a third-party website that looked similar to the real Outdoor Shop, the PFBC and the Game Commission’s online purchasing portal, but never received a license. “The only proven, reputable and reliable methods for purchasing Pennsylvania fishing licenses and permits are through the PFBC’s online portal The Outdoor Shop or in-person from a retail license issuing agent,” said Bernie Matscavage, director of the PFBC Bureau of Administration.
EBENSBURG - One woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash late Monday night in Cambria Township. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said the accident happened just after 10 p.m. on Route 422 near the Route 219 interchange. A woman in her 60s was transported to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, where she later died in the emergency room, Lees said. The woman's name has not been released pending notification of the family.
